As our keiki return to school this fall, it also marks the beginning of a new season here at Waste Management of Hawaii and we are busier than ever as we roll out several new initiatives to help kamaaina “think green.”

We are always honored to help such deserving local organizations that are dedicated to making our islands a better place to live.

Our parent company, Waste Management, Inc., recently created two new interactive ways to  “think green” and contribute to a cleaner aina. Greenopolis.com allows members to connect with others who care about the environment and enables them to learn, act and earn rewards for making a positive impact on the environment.

Mike Kaha is a veteran employee of Waste Management of Hawaii and has been with us since October 1993. As the site manager for our West Hawaii Landfill, his responsibilities include serving as a point of contact for customers, employees, contractors and the general public. Before joining Waste Management, Mike worked for the Laborers Union in Honolulu.
